Camden-Rockport Historical Society Time Line Overview
1930 Camden Historical Society organized.
1960 Camden-Rockport Historical Society incorporated.
1965 Conway Homestead opened to the public with the newly renovated Conway House and Barn, Victorian Privy, Herb Garden. The Blacksmith shop was moved onto the property later that year.
1970 Cramer Museum constructed to provide a proper and secure storage area for artifacts and archival material. The Museum also offers an exhibit area, library, and office space.
1973 Caretaker's Cottage moved onto the property and renovated to complement the 18th Century complex.
1974 Railroad Switch House added to the property near the Route 1 entrance.
1978 Maple Sugar House moved to the property from Howe Hill and renovated on site.
1985 Cramer Museum addition completed for much needed exhibit, storage, and office space.
1990s Restoration projects on Conway House, Barn, Blacksmith Shop, Victorian Privy, and Maple Sugar House.
2002 Caretaker's Cottage dedicated as an Education Center. Renovation work to begin as funding allows.
